Experience ice skating on natural ice in the Swedish countryside on a guided all inclusive tour. You will go skating on Mälaren or any other of Sweden's thousands of lakes. Or maybe even on the Baltic Sea. Sweden is one of the absolute best places in the world for ice skating on natural ice. Experiencing skating on a frozen lake where you can skate kilometer after kilometer on good ice and with fantastic scenery is absolutely fantastic.
Naturguiden believe in small groups led by local guides. We hunt for the best ice for ice skating and are very flexible with where in Sweden we choose to ice skate. With Naturguiden ice guarantee, you can cancel the tour with a full refund if it is not possible to skate on the weekend you have booked. We stay in small family owned hostels and hotels near the lake we will be ice skating on. Maybe even on the Baltic sea. In the evenings we hang out, cook, and eat together. Or enjoy fine dining if you choose the comfort level with countryside hotels.
Ice skating in Sweden is one of a kind and we think there is no better. We spend the whole day on the ice. Normally with two well-deserved lunch breaks, one perhaps with an open fire and a small barbeque. We skate together as a group, the guide skating first, makes sure the ice is safe and find the best way among islands and straits. Your guide will be happy to give tips and tricks to help you evolve as a Nordic skater.
Naturguiden have skating tours for everyone. We are a maximum of eight skaters in a group. Naturguiden open tours are open to everyone and you are most welcome to follow. We have groups for both intermediate and experienced skaters. However, if you are a family or a couple of friends, you may prefer a private skating tour. You can then choose any date, and also the standard of accommodation.
